- Start from New ▾ (a template) or hit 🎲 Randomize. Lock (🔒) layers you like, then randomize again.
- Not a person? Pick a creature in Body: four-legged, blob, floating, serpent or many-legged. The library then shows only parts that fit it (eyes, hats, horns, wings…).
- 🌀 Weird in the library collects the unhinged stuff: fishbowl helmets, googly eyes, hot dog suits, rubber chickens. Toggle 🌀 next to Randomize to roll weird characters.
- Pick parts in the left library: click a tile, or drag it onto the canvas. Thumbnails show your character wearing it.
- Customize the selected layer on the right: colors, shape sliders (hair length, sleeve length, beard…), size and position.
- Move a part by dragging it on the canvas, or nudge it with the arrow keys. It moves in every frame. Tick This frame only to fix one frame. An amber ↔ means a part is off center: click it, or use ⌖ Center all.
- Touch up with Paint. Painted pixels stick to a body part (head, chest…) and follow it through the animation. Each direction has its own paint.
- Bring your own art: drop a PNG onto the canvas (or use Custom → Import). It attaches to whatever body part you dropped it on.
- Export for Godot writes a sprite sheet PNG plus a
SpriteFrames .tres. Unzip it into your project's assets/sprites/, then set the .tres as your AnimatedSprite2D's Sprite Frames.
